Sunday 28 June saw the biggest names in hip hop, R&B and gospel descend upon Los Angeles for the BET Awards. Hosted by Oscar-winning, chart-topping and world-class comedian Jamie Foxx, the BET AWARDS '09 was one of the biggest nights in the entertainment calendar, bringing together the brightest stars in music, sports and entertainment at Los Angeles' historic Shrine Auditorium.
It was a non-stop party, with show-stopping performances from the likes of Beyonce, Kanye West, Ne-Yo and Soulja Boy and glittering award presentations, recognising and celebrating the most influential and successful African American entertainers.
