Sandra Bullock Picks Up Her Razzie Award

Just hours before winning this year's Best Actress Oscar, Sandra Bullock has picked up the award for the worst performance of the year.

Bullock became one of the few stars to turn up in person at the Golden Raspberry Awards, or Razzies, which celebrate the worst of Hollywood.

The actress, who won the awards for The Blind Side, was named worst actress of the year for much-mocked romantic comedy All About Steve.

The 45-year-old turned up at the awards ceremony dragging a cart full of DVDs of the film which she started handing out, accusing her critics of never having seen it.

She said: "Thank you for ruining my career with a very bad decision," before threatening to read her dialogue from the role "until four in the morning".

Until now no actor had won the Razzie and an Oscar in the same year.

While the Razzies are usually shunned by A-listers, a good-humoured Halle Berry did turn up in 2005 to collect her award for Catwoman, bringing with her the Oscar she had won for Monster's Ball.

One movie receiving a special panning at the 30th annual Golden Raspberry Awards this year was the Tranformers sequel Revenge Of The Fallen, which not only won the Worst Film award, but also Worst Screenplay and Worst Director.

The film was drubbed as "overlong, over-loud and underwhelming".

Marking three decades of Razzie Awards, the organisers also heaped scorn upon the biggest film failures of the last decade.

The 2000 film Battlefield Earth, based on the writings of Scientology creator L Ron Hubbard and starring John Travolta, was named worst picture of the decade.

JD Shapiro, one of the writers of the notorious flop, turned up to collect the award, quipping: "I especially want to thank the dozens and dozens of people who went to see the movie."

Judges bestowed the dubious honour of Worst Actress of the Decade upon socialite Paris Hilton.

Meanwhile, Eddie Murphy, who frequently donned fat-suits for comedies such as Norbit, found himself honoured as Worst Actor of the Decade.

Worst picture: Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen

Worst actor: The Jonas Brothers (Jonas Brothers: The 3-D Concert Experience)

Worst actress: Sandra Bullock (All About Steve)

Worst screen couple: Sandra Bullock and Bradley Cooper (All About Steve)
