Jedward Exert Pressure To Reach Number One
Jedward are at number two in the UK download charts with their debut single Under Pressure, featuring Vanilla Ice, and are pressing hard for the top spot.
Owl City's Fireflies currently occupies the pole position, but the Irish twins shifted 24,000 copies in just a few days after their track was made available.
John and Edward Grimes, worked their way through the rounds of X Factor and rapped Ice Ice Baby during one of the live shows, mashing it together with Queen hit Under Pressure.
Its bassline was used in Ice's 1990 UK number one.
Vanilla Ice was so impressed he contacted the twins about a duet.
"I can't believe we had the opportunity to record our first single with such a great artist," John told Sky News' Eamonn Holmes.
The brothers are known for their energy, confidence and the pure entertainment value their performances dish up.
The worry, however, is these boys may be getting better at what they are doing.
"We're never going to be super-polished, we are always going to have fun with what we are doing," John reassures.
Under Pressure will be available in the shops on February 15.
