Brit Flick To Brewery: Ritchie Expands Empire
Guy Ritchie is to open his own brewery, according to reports.
Madonna's 41-year-old ex-husband is said to have registered a number of brand names for his beers - including Bitta Ritchie.
Punch Bowl Ales, Punch Bowl Beers and Ashcombe Ales are also thought to have been trademarked by the Sherlock Holmes director.
They are named after the London pub and the Wiltshire manor Ritchie kept following his divorce from the pop icon in January 2009.
A spokesman for the Intellectual Property Office confirmed the brand names have been registered, saying: "The trademarks have appeared in the Trade Marks Journal."
Ritchie avoided an attempt to close The Punch Bowl down last month after neighbours complained about drinkers who "cause a nuisance on seven days of the week".
Barrister Leo Charalambides said: "It has metamorphasised from a ye olde local English pub into something that's really internationally recognised on the A-list party circuit and by those who would like to get some of the glamour of going to such a venue."
