Simon Pegg's become a dad for the first time. The Hot Fuzz actor's wife, Maureen McCann, gave birth to a baby girl at the weekend. It's the first child for the couple, who celebrate their 4th wedding anniversary this month. Pegg admits he's very excited, saying, "It's the most important thing to me".
He says he was delighted the baby was born in Los Angeles, because it entitles her to dual citizenship. He added, "It struck me that, technically, she could eventually become President of the United States. The potential is there!"
