Zip - A Streetdance Musical
A new lottery funded musical about street violence, is getting rave reviews from the critics - despite most of the cast and crew, being made up of non professionals.
Young Londoners were invited to attend workshops, and then encouraged to turn their experiences into a theatre production..
'Zip' centres around a gang who find a group of strangers, staying in a ghost filled house, where they have also stashed a weapon..

Giant Olive Theatre Company is very proud to present ZIP: Gun & Knife Crime, an exciting theatre project which has been supported by the Big Lottery Fund, Choice FM and Camden Council.
Giant Olive organised a series of workshops with people in Camden affected by Gun & Knife Crime and using the material gathered, produced 'ZIP' which will be staged in the Camden Fringe Festival and beyond. (Please see below for videos of the ZIP Workshops.)
With top level choreography from Gary Lloyd; experienced street dancers, rappers, beat boxers and actors, ZIP will be a haunting night at the theatre.
